The Blackstone Valley Boys and Girls Club will be hosting its Third Annual “Biking Through Blackstone” fund raising event on Saturday Morning, May 19th at 9:00 AM.

This event is for families registered for the 2007 Summer Program. Participants will need to obtain sponsors for the 10 mile bike ride through Blackstone. Fifty percent of all funds raised by participants will be directly applied to their summer enrollment fees. Participants who raise $50 or more will be given a Club t-shirt.

This year’s ride will both start and end at the Club parking lot. Upon completing the trip, lunch will be served to all participants and two Apple Ipods will be given away. You must participate in the ride to be eligible to win. Rider sponsors will also be entered in a drawing for a prize, to be announced.

Summer may still be months away, but the Blackstone Valley Boys & Girls Club is already preparing for the warm weather.

Starting Monday, February 5, the BVBGC is opening early registrations for the 2007 Summer Program. As in past years, there are two registration levels, Extended and Basic. This year’s 10-week program begins Monday, June 18 and ends Friday, August 24, 2007.

Program fees are $350 for Basic and $600 for Extended. Fees cover all program activies with the exception of field trips and lunches. Early Registrations are granted a payment plan, with final payments due prior to the start of the program.
